Hi - welcome to my site

I was born in South Africa in 1963. Music was always my first love and I have played music for as long as I can remember. I always had a penchant for writing my own material and have done so since about 1980 once I taught myself how to twang a few strings on the guitar. Playing in a number of youth bands honed my performance skills and prepared me for the live renditions of my own material which was always a goal.

In 2000 I recorded a CD entitled No Regrets which is a collection of some of the songs written from 1990 to 2000.

For me music is about the silence between the notes – listeners must have the space and the freedom to put their own interpretation into the songs – music is so intensely personal and so subjective. I write what I feel but I also understand that each listener hears whatever they hear within their own terms of reference – as musicians we simply craft the song into a vehicle for each person's own interpretation.

Live performances allow us to engage in that rapport which is magical and which is mysterious.
